Your camera... your Nikon, be it a coolpix, d40, d40x, d300, d50... whatever! Isn't pronounced Nikon (nik -like Nike- on). It is from JAPAN, NOT the usa. Therefore the correct pronunciation is actually Nekon or Niikon (you know like your KNEE).
Also your Toyota is not a toy-yoda. It's TO-YO-TA.
Nissan is usually pronounced pretty correct though.
Mitsubishi is generally correct except for that first I... which tends to for more of a mit (like mittens) instead of the e like the other I's. I think it's mostly cause people add the mi to the t... technically it's separated this way mi-tsu-bi-shi.
Oh, one more thing. Tokyo is not To-kee-o, it's To-kyo.
